A check-in is your way of telling the app that the entry's run is still going. Tap "Log" on the Dashboard or swipe right on the row in the Entries tab. The check-in extends the current day count and is recorded alongside the entry.
Restart resets an entry's current day count back to zero (today). Your all-time best count for that entry and the overall history both stay intact, so progress never disappears.
Paused entries are kept in the Entries tab under the "Paused" filter but stop counting days. Resume the entry when you want to track it again — the counter starts fresh from the resume date.
Make sure Cloud AI is enabled under Settings. The optional cloud helper may be temporarily unreachable; the rest of the app keeps working offline.
